Day 1: Journey Through Heritage & Arrival in Serenity
Begin your honeymoon with a scenic road transfer from Entebbe or Kampala through Uganda’s rolling countryside — a beautiful symbolic transition into married life.
En route, stop at Igongo Cultural Centre near Mbarara for a guided Ankole cultural experience. Learn about the traditions, values, and heritage of the Ankole people, including their iconic long-horned cattle — sparking meaningful conversations about legacy, culture, and family foundations.
Lunch is served en route before continuing through terraced hills and winding landscapes toward Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 2: Romance on the Water – Boat Ride & Island Stories
After breakfast, embark on a guided boat ride across Lake Bunyonyi, visiting some of the lake’s historic and legendary islands.
Gliding across the still waters offers quiet, intimate moments — ideal for reflection, shared laughter, and simply being present together.
Return to the lodge for lunch. The afternoon is free for leisure: swimming, photography, or resting by the lakeside while soaking in the tranquility.
Dinner is served at the lodge in the evening, creating another opportunity for uninterrupted connection.
Day 3: Gentle Adventure & Shared Discovery
After breakfast, enjoy a traditional dug-out canoe trek across the calm lake waters. Moving at a slow, rhythmic pace allows you to appreciate both the scenery and each other’s company in a uniquely intimate way.
Return to the lodge for lunch.

Trip Inclusions
The trip price generally includes transport, accommodation, meals as specified in the itinerary, entry fees to scheduled attractions, and the services of a trip coordinator or guide.
Trip Exclusions
The package price does not include visa fees, travel insurance, personal expenses (drinks, laundry, shopping), optional activities not listed in the itinerary, tips and gratuities, or any additional costs arising from personal delays.
Passport & Visa Requirements
Travelers are responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity) and any required visas or travel documentation for the destination country.
Travel Insurance
For cross-border trips, travelers are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, accidents, evacuation, and trip interruptions. Du Repos Expeditions shall not be held responsible for losses due to lack of insurance coverage.
Booking & Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to confirm participation. The balance must be cleared before the trip departure date as communicated.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
If a traveler cancels participation, the following applies:

10 – 20 days before departure: 50% refund

5 – 9 days before departure: 25% refund

Less than 5 days before departure: No refund
Refund processing may take 7–14 working days.
Itinerary Changes
Du Repos Expeditions reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to the itinerary due to weather conditions, operational requirements, safety considerations, or unforeseen circumstances.
