Day 1: Transition & Gentle Arrival
Begin with a scenic road transfer from Kampala or Entebbe to the Lake Victoria landing site. From there, board a scheduled or private boat for a peaceful cruise across the lake — an intentional transition from city movement into island calm.
The lake breeze, open waters, and quiet horizon set the tone for the days ahead.
Upon arrival on Ssese Island, transfer to your beachside lodge for check-in. Spend the afternoon relaxing along the shoreline, swimming, or simply sitting together in the calm rhythm of island life.
Dinner is served at the lodge, followed by overnight stay.
Day 2: Rest, Renewal & Shared Presence
After breakfast, enjoy a full day dedicated to restoration and quality time.

This day is intentionally unhurried — allowing space for conversation, laughter, silence, or simply being present without distractions.
Lunch is served at the lodge, followed by a tranquil afternoon at your own pace. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3: Nature, Reflection & Gentle Exploration
Following breakfast, embark on guided nature walks through the island’s forested landscapes. Observe birdlife, monkeys, and small wildlife while learning about the island’s ecosystem.
This experience offers more than sightseeing — it invites shared discovery and appreciation for the simplicity and rhythm of natural life.
Return to the lodge for lunch. The afternoon is free for beach leisure, quiet reflection, reading, or enjoying uninterrupted time together.
Dinner is served at the lodge, followed by overnight stay.
Day 4: Return with Renewed Energy
After breakfast, check out and transfer by boat back to the mainland. The return cruise offers one final moment to reflect on the stillness and connection experienced during your stay.
Upon arrival, continue by road to Kampala or Entebbe.
You return not only rested, but mentally refreshed, emotionally reconnected, and renewed by the simplicity of island living.
Standard Trip Terms & Conditions

Trip Inclusions
The trip price generally includes transport, accommodation, meals as specified in the itinerary, entry fees to scheduled attractions, and the services of a trip coordinator or guide.
Trip Exclusions
The package price does not include visa fees, travel insurance, personal expenses (drinks, laundry, shopping), optional activities not listed in the itinerary, tips and gratuities, or any additional costs arising from personal delays.
Passport & Visa Requirements
Travelers are responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity) and any required visas or travel documentation for the destination country.
Travel Insurance
For cross-border trips, travelers are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, accidents, evacuation, and trip interruptions. Du Repos Expeditions shall not be held responsible for losses due to lack of insurance coverage.
Booking & Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to confirm participation. The balance must be cleared before the trip departure date as communicated.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
If a traveler cancels participation, the following applies:

More than 20 days before departure: 70% refund (excluding deposit)

10 – 20 days before departure: 50% refund

5 – 9 days before departure: 25% refund

Less than 5 days before departure: No refund
Refund processing may take 7–14 working days.
Itinerary Changes
Du Repos Expeditions reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to the itinerary due to weather conditions, operational requirements, safety considerations, or unforeseen circumstances.

Du Repos Expeditions acts as a facilitator for travel services and shall not be liable for delays, injuries, loss of property, or disruptions caused by third parties, weather conditions, or circumstances beyond our control
